Jávea (Xàbia) is a small coastal town in the Marina Alta region of the Costa Blanca. It sits between Cap de la Nau and Cap de Sant Antoni — two headlands that create a sheltered microclimate that keeps the town warmer in winter and cooler in summer than the surrounding coast.
Athletes come here for the combination of flat coast and accessible mountain climbs, empty winter roads, and year-round open water swimming. The town has a large, established expat community (British, Belgian, Dutch, German).

Three zones
The town is spread across three distinct areas: the old town (Pueblo), the port, and Arenal beach. You can get between them on a bike. A car is useful if you want to explore beyond Jávea — restaurants up the coast, beaches, or the Dénia track.
